We understand that cost is one of the last things anyone wants to deal with when preparing for a loved one’s funeral. At Fitchett-Mann Funeral Services we offer compassionate and quality services at an affordable price.Â
Embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial.
NOTE: When embalming is not desired, the natural progression of decomposition causes the likelihood of unpleasant odors to be present. We therefore require that any services conducted with the unembalmed remains present and not in a gasketed sealed container be conducted within 3 days from date of death
Our charges include staff supervision, attendants for visitation, viewing of remains (if requested), directing family and guest flow, arrangements of flowers and other memorial tributes.
Our charges include funeral director and trained staff for the arranging and directing of the service, set up and use of facilities, chapel music and other equipment, parking assistance, flowers supervising and directing guest flow, orderly supervision of family, and viewing if requested.

Our charge (without ceremony or viewing) includes transfer of remains to funeral home, basic services of funeral director and staff, cremation pouch and transportation to crematory and cremation, after medical examiner investigation, fee, and authorization. State and local laws do not require a casket for direct cremation. If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition material (with or without an outside covering). The containers we provide are composite composition. (Oversized cases will have additional costs)
“In most areas of the country, state or local law does not require you to buy a container to surround the casket in the grave. However, many cemeteries require that you have a container so that the grave will not sink in. Either a burial vault or a grave liner will satisfy these requirements.”
