Chesapeake- In God's perfect peace, Beatrice V. Sherrill Clark, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. God said to Abraham in Genesis 15:15; "you will live to be a ripe old age and pass away in peace."

Beatrice was born on June 19, 1943, in Norfolk County(Chesapeake, VA) and the oldest of two children born to the late Walter Sherrill, Sr., and Beulah Mae Gordon Sherrill.

Beatrice retired with 20 years of dedicated service with the Government of the United States of America, with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission as a Federal Investigator and received several awards for her outstanding performance. Shortly after retiring, she stepped right in to assist in the care of her parents and her special needs granddaughter.

She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church West Munden in Chesapeake, Virginia, where she was a loving, loyal and tireless member for many years. She was a member of the No.2 Choir, a captain of one of the Seasonal Tea's, Pastoral Search Committee, active in Bible Study, Sunday School and participated in several other programs within the church.

Beatrice loved her family dearly. She was very proud of all of her children and grandchildren for their accomplishments. She and her brother were two peas in a pod, they stuck together like glue. In 1996, she was the first president of The Sherrill-Dunning Family Reunion, where they are still going strong.

In her spare time, she enjoyed going out to lunch and shopping with her work sisters, planning family dinners/gatherings, buying everything on the Home Shopping Network/QVC and watching television ministries, as she became less active. She also enjoyed keeping her yard looking good and decorating her home and yours, if you allowed her.
